Question
I was involved in a personal auto accident in Oct. last year. A young lady 17 yrs old hit at 65 mph and in construction zone. I ended up in the emergency room. And ended up with whiplash. Dr's thought that rest and some physical therapy would help. They had me finally get an MRI done. I have 2 compressed disc and a bone spur in the neck. But, I do get sore at times and have pain go down into my right arm and hand. I am released from medical treatment now. Dr. says there is nothing he can do now. No surgary. Does anyone think that this will bother me to much if I go back truck driving? My daughter and mom do not think I can handle it. But, I'm stubborn.

Answer
If you tell the truth when you get your DOT physcial you will more than likely be disqualified
My initial injury was May 2000 in November of 2001 the doctors placed me out of work and I have been ever since.
I to have numbing in the arm and hands and have 4 disc that are screwed up in my neck which are causing a impengment in the shoulder and all of my doctors refuse to let me return to driving..
Now they are telling me I have Cervical Disc Disease..Arthritis and as time goes on it is only going to get worse..
Only one said I could return to work of course he was the doctor for workers comp..And when my Lawyer ask him to put it in writting that I could return as a truck driver he refused..
Just courious did you settle with the insurance company of the other driver?
