Question
I going to need right hip replacement in the near future(next year or 2). Would like to hear if any of you drivers have had it and how it effected your job. I drive for a otr carrier and don't have to handle any frieght but was wondering about the effect it will have on long hauls and climbing in and out of truck(which I do alot due to dropping and hooking sometimes several times a day). Thanks alot and feel free to email me if you want....BigKahunaman47@aol.com
Answer
from this type of surgery and have gone back to driving.
After the surgery you will go to physical therapy for strengthening exercises. Be sure to tell the therapist what you do and how you will be moving in the course of your work. They can work on specific exercises with you to maximize your mobility and strength.
Good luck and let us know how things work out
