Any ideas what could be the problem:

Question
For the past two weeks I have been tired constantly. I have been having to stop and nap every two to four hours for an hour or two and that is after getting 7-10 hours of sleep every night.
Also for the past week I have had a feeling of tighness in my upper chest and occasional sharp pain in the area of my breast bone. The pain usually occurs during an intake of breath but not always.
As many know I am diabetic and have been monitoring my sugar levels very carefully and they are well within the normal range set up with my doctor.
I have a few ideas of my own but would like some additional input. Thanks.

and the visit was inconclusive as far as I am concerned. He had an "at rest" ekg done in the office and after looking the tape he said "doesn't look like there is a major problem" and the proceeds to tell the nurse to have me scheduled ASAP for a stress test.

Answer
Just like looking for a mechanical problem with a truck when you aren't sure what your looking for.
You just start eliminating the easiest to check, identify or rule out and keep at it til you get it figured out.
I hope blood work was done as well and the results of that are pending. There may be a clue there as well.
Please keep us posted.

Answer
Yes blood work was done on Tues as well and am waiting to get the results back. They were checking thyroid levels among other things.
Just returned from the stress test. According to the cardiologist monitoring the test there doesnt seem to be any sign of heart disease at this time. So back to square one.

Answer
uturn - don't want to add any more worry to what you are going through already. It sounds like you're in the the right arena though. Though I'm not a medic, I can tell you that heart problems are nothing to fool with. Last year I was having trouble catching my breath, went to the doctor and everything checked out. A couple months later, I was sitting in my office and felt terrible. Couldn't breath, right hand was numb and everything was just "BLAH!"
Stupid me went home, fifteen miles away and then called the Dr.. An ambulance ride back next door to my office and a session with a chest cracker (quad-bypass) was the result. I'll tell you now, that is the worst pain I've ever been in... And I KNOW pain...
A resting EKG and Stress test will bring out anything that COULD be wrong. To be sure, maybe a radiactive dye test is also in your future.
Good luck! I ride for those who can't! POW/MIA - You are NOT forgotten!!

Question,
Are you driving a freightliner, Columbia/ Century, detroit/Mersedes engine.
Just thought I would ask.
Maxx

Answer
Exhaust leaking into the truck/sleeper?

Answer
Dak 1
Since 2004 I have asked alot of questions about the freightliners, reason
being, I had to go to the emerg room 3 times.
Blood presure was high, couldnt breath, spitting up flem.dizzy, flu like symtoms.
Sleep my ten hours, after about 3to4 hours a real tiredness would come on.
In the last 3 to 4 wks now have tested many centurys/columbias, results
levels of carbonmonoxide coming thru the air vents, put on aircond, tested
with CO reader. My friend out in Ca, has done the same. He has come up
with readings.
I have wittnes drivers getting sick, I have names an phone No#s.
What some drivers dont know is, its not just Carbonmonoxide, Also there
are other Toxins coming in, Which like my Doctor said yesterday that
some of those toxins could cause CANCER down the road.
For 14 months I went thru hell.
Alot of these drivers dont care, or some just dont realize whats going on.
This problem has been kept quiet for along time.
Thers alot to this,
Maxx

Answer
is could be gas, you know. Simply gas. Like me, I eat too many frijoles, like with my food, so I get high gas pains, especially driving all night. Maybe you need to eat less leghumes, more red meat.
