Prescription Glasses

Question
Is there any difference in the quality of the lenses between a private eye doctor's lab and Wal-Mart or Lenscrafters? There is a major difference in price. I don't mind paying if there is a difference in quality.

Answer
eye doctors and many places like Wal-Mart send your prescription to an off sight lab for processing that handles orders for many sights. Very few places actually use thier own labs any more to actually make glasses and of course those that do get the lenses from the same suppliers that all the other labs do.
I have been getting my glasses and contacts at Wal mart for years now and have had only one problem that was caused by a bad lense which was taken care of quickly and without hassle.
Only two things I know of are infinite. The universe and human stupidity, and I am not real sure about the universe.

Answer
I've been gretting mine at lenscrafters it cheaper but if you go to their eye exam i don't think they do quite as good a job as the doctor. I,ve had problems with the ear pieces hurting. Take them back and they'll adjust them no charge. They also have a 1 year warranty. If they get damaged. With little out of pocket expense.
