This is kysmiley, using my wifes login. I have developed what I am calling a pain in the but about 1/2 to 1 inch to the left of my tail-bone. It is making it dificult for me to bend over far enough to pull on my socks or do up my shoes. slight bending is not a problem just the deep streching bends. It also hurts if i site for to long in one position. Anyone have any ideas on this.

are you sitting on your wallet all day long? If so then try taking it out when you drive and see if this helps.

do some stretching exercises several times a day when you get a break from driving.
If the pain continues and is specific only to that area ( not going anywhere else or getting worse) you may be developing a carbuncle or a boil.
If this continues or gets worse, see a Dr. Someone needs to do a visual on this.

this is KySmiley's wife this time and he has asked me to reply for him. No he does not sit on his wallet. He hates carrying it period and refuses to keep it in his back pants pocket at anytime. He has a small butt and it hurts him when he carries it that way..lol
I have suggested he call a chiropractor but he keeps thinking it will get better on its own. Stretching does seem to help alot he says. I have looked at the area he has the pain in and there is no place or mark of any kind, although there is a big knot..hard like a bone sticking out from that area..almost like a calcium deposit.
It is not directly on his tail bone..it is about a half inch off. He can't bend over without pain. He has a bad cold right now and when he sneezes or coughs is hurts him really bad.

that has not gotten inflamed, but I would suggest he goes and sees the doctor and have it diagnosed especially if it is causing him that much pain/discomfort.

Have him see a Dr. If this is a boil it can be lanced or posssibly reduced with medication.
It may need an xray as well.
