Question
But mainly it is because it is keeping me from working at the job I really love doing which is driving a big truck.
I had to get off the road last October because of family issues and took a local non-CDL job making deliveries. A month into that job I injured my wrist and was unable to work. Went through 2 months of doctors visits, physical therapy etc, only to finally be told that the actual cause of the injury was tendonitis, and that I had probably not injured it all. Well my workmans comp went bye-bye, and I was still unable to work. The company I was working for replaced me and I tried to go back to driving once my wrist healed. I couldn't get a med clearence. Since that time I have tried to find a local job of some sort but have been told again and again I am over qualified or under qualified, (and the job situation really sucks around here to begin with and we only have 1 car which is not very reliable so any long commutes are out of the question) I have tried to collect unemployment and was denied, I have tried to go back to school through dislocated workers since I am medically unqualified to do the job I am trained to do but don't qualify. I have made too much money in the past 2 years to qualify for financial aid, so I have been basically sitting around going nuts since last November, with no income since the first of the year, and I now have a $200/month medication bill, a $50 month bill for testing supplies, and this does not count the bills for all the doctor visits and tests.(I have had 2 AC1 tests, 1 cholesterol screening, and am suppose to take another complete workup next week) If it wasn't for my wife working all sorts of overtime I would really be up the creek.
I have a name not a number. I am not cheap but I am resonable.
Answer
to my post of figure this one out.

Answer
I guess I'll have to go read the other post, but I can sure sympathize! The only jobs around here that don't involve driving are either government, fast food or retail, and I can't do any of them due to currant medical conditions.
I can't get disability because of an open workmans comp claim. Comp won't pay, despite court orders to do so. My youngest just turned 18 so AFDC is out, no cash assistance for adults with no young children.
I can't stand, sit, squat, stretch, reach, walk, or basically anything for any period of time, but supposedly I can work light duty!
My wife is disabled but cannot recieve payment because they say severe lymphodema is not disabling, even though she cannot do anything without blinding pain.
There is a program locally to give cash payments to illegal immigrants, but as I am a lifetime citizen, I don't qualify.
So I sit here playing on my computer for short periods of time and wishing I could have my life back!
I do hope things work out for you and will place you on my prayer list. My faith is the only thing that has kept me going.
