Blood pressure

Question
Can anyone tell me what is considered too high for a blood pressure reading on a DOT physical? Mine is a little high (about 128 over 86). Would this be a problem for me on a DOT physical? Thanks!

Answer
Do a search in this forum for Hypertension and high blood pressure. We have had several discussions on it. Also, click the link to our site and check out the part about medical certification.
You are OK on a DOT physical if the top number is 160 or below and the bottom number is 90 or below.

No Problem,My blood pressure was 152/82 when I took my physical. I`m on BP meds also. I got a two year card. As long as it stays where it is,you`re OK. If it goes higher, see a doc and get it medicated..Good Luck...

Tried garlic tablet and guess what, it works wonders. If you are getting close to the limits, try Garlique. Check your BP at one of those machines they have at the stores. Then check it again in a week or so. You will be amazed.
