I run team with my wife we are owner oper.In febuary 2002 I come home with what I though was the flu went to VA hosp (emerg. room)they said no flu but heart failure that my heart was enlarged and putting fluid in my lungs.They admited me was there for one week. they went up and checked my arties they are in good shape blood presure is 120/80 calestol 150 ekg ok.good spec for a guy with such a screwed up heart huh.any way they give me a hand full pills and sent me home.(pills 1-carvediklol 2-digoxin 3-lisinopril 4-furosemide ) said I can go back to driving no restrictions what I would like to know is can a driver with a bad heart on 3 pills to slow his heart down (it beats to fast)is legal to drive a truck coast to coast?

Not without a litle more data to go on. Most examiner's, if following the regs., would ask for a stress test to be conducted to be absolutely sure. At the very least an EKG should be done.
Then you would only be certified for a short period of time (three to six months) which could be lengthened as time wen ton without any further problems. But you will likely not ever be issued more than a one year card.

nurse I can pass a stress test and an EKG My heart does not miss a beat its only pumping about 35% tho.putting fluid in my lungs and legs.my calastral is 150 I have no pluged arteries just a wore out heart. Danny
