Answer
I'm going to tell ya right now, I am not up to speed on those things. Maybe Medicine Woman can step in here and give us a hand.
But I will tell ya, if you are worried about it showing up on a drug test, NO it won't.
Not a DOT drug test anyway.
Will it work as a dietary aid???? I dunno, U tell me.
Everyone thinks there is a set list that the DOT has created that lists "banned" drugs.
There is NO such list except for the 5 controlled substances that are tested for under DOT regs. Those are:\
THC (Marijuana), Cocaine, amphetamines/Methamphetamines, Opiates, and PCP.
Drugs that may disqualify you on a DOT medical are a different story. And it depends largely on the documentation YOU provide from your physisicain and the company's insurance underwriter.
Drugs that treat mild depression and anxiety are not "Banned".... but the company's insurance carrier may say to the company "We will not cover a driver who is on these medications" Therefore the company says "Nope" if you list this as your regular meds, no matter what your Dr. says about your ability to safely operate a CMV while on it).
This is where the RESOLUTION OF CONFLICT regs come into play.
For more info on that....visit our website at www.trucknet.com/abms
Scroll down to the bottom of the opening page and click "Resolution of Conflict".Hope this covers everything you were looking for.
