Question
Not sure whether I should be here, or in the Law Forum, but I'll start here, and see what you have to say first.
Scenario: Husband has his own authority (we are not incorporated) and truck, with two additional O/O's leased on to us. D parked his truck, did not renew the license plates, and has put minimal insurance coverage on the truck. In essence, he has retired from trucking (and is in another line of work now), but still has the potential to drive, if he wanted/needed to.
We belong to a consortium for the regulatory drug testing. My question: Does he still need to be listed as one of the drivers for random drug testing?
If you cannot answer this question, would be able to direct me to somewhere I could get the answer?
Thanks, in advance
Shari

Answer
Trucknet was burping or something. It wouldn't let me into the posts.
If D is still on your list of drivers in your consortium and you don't anticipate using him for over 90 days. Remove him from your random list. If you find you need him again, he must go have a Pre-employment test and be returned to the active list.
Hope this helps.

Answer
Thanks, Nurse Red. I figured I could just take him off, but wanted to be sure--he has no intention of getting back in the truck for work, for a long time, if ever. Just wanted to be clear, since he is an O/O and does have the authority in his name.
