Question
After 20 years as an owner operator my old lady is really sick.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Elly, thats my old ladys name has had a heart attack in 1999, and this year she got lung cancer. They removed her left lung and then that turned into bone cancer later on this year. Just about 3 weeks ago the doctors gave her 6 to 8 weeks to live as the worst case senario. The best case senario is she can stay in bed, survive 4 months and recoop and get her left hip bone strengthened enough so they can do hip replacement surgury. As of right now she is set up in the living room of the house in a hospital bed and I am her caregiver. Our truck sits in the driveway and people come and go visiting and nurses stopping by now and then. Hospice is what they call it. What we need is to find someone to stay with her( maybe even a nurse type person) so I can get the truck back on the road and make some money to help pay the bills on the house, and both the house mortgage and the truck mortgage. I am not begging, just asking for some help. Or just more prayers and being put on more prayer lists at churches.
Thanks
Thanks
Answer
You and yours are certainly having a rough time!
Have you talked with the visiting nurses about any other options?
Have you asked any family members for what help they can provide?
You may want to contact Social Services for your state/county and see if they can offer you any help as well.
Please check back often to see if others have ideas as well.
So sorry about your wife's health.
Keeping you safe, healthy and on the road.
