Are ACE inhibitors or calcium channel blockers a problem from a legal standpoint when driving? Also, can either be detected in a DOT drug screen?
Thanks

Answer
However, with a diagnosis of high blood pressure, you may find yourself getting a recertification exam every year vs. every two years.
These meds will not appear on a DOT drug screen.
As always, please get a statement from your physician indicating that he/she is aware of your job duties, and that the medications will not interfere with your ability to safely operate a Commericial Motor Vehicle. Make copies of that statement and take one with you every time you go for a DOT physical.
Keeping you safe, healthy and on the road.
