The vacation was most excellent. The very relaxing kind, not the kind where you need a vacation from the vacation.
The fishing was pretty good, not a lot of bass, but many Pike and Pickerel. We practice catch and release fishing, so it matters not what we catch, we just like the fight. I caught a monster Pickerel that broke my line just as I was getting him in the boat and he swam off with my FAVORITE spinner bait! I was sooo mad I almost jumped in the lake affter him. Until my boyfriend grabbed my arm and said "DAM SHARON! I'll buy ya another one!"
Weather was lovely the entire trip, too.

I also love to go freshwater fishing and yes i also love catching them large & small mouth bass they do like to jump!
I have a great big pickerel on my wall it was just over 8 pounds and very long with many sharp teeth.
I caught that a few years ago. the last 5 years we catch and release its a great system.
I like a nice ultra light rod & real with 6 pound berkley trimax line and a nice spinner bait or i use a rooster tail and bam them pickerel love to bite!!
