Medication and driving

Question
I am currently in driving school and am planning on going with with Star or Marten after graduation. My question is: I am and have been taking Celebrex for some time now because of a pinched nerve. Will taking this medication in anyway prevent me from driving?
Thanks in advance.....

No. Celebrex is not a Banned Drug while driving. It will not affect your ability to drive at all. I have used it for 2 years & have had no problems at all.

Answer
When taking any prescribed medication, have your physician write a statement indicatig that he/she is aware of your job duties and that in his/her opinion the medication will not affect your ability to safely operate a commercial motor vehicle.
There is no list of "Banned" drugs. Celebrex will simply not show up on a DOT drug test.
Everyone reacts to medications in their own way. I know people who sware that Tylenol or Advil makes them drowsy. Yet there is nothing in either medication that should cause that to happen.
Always know how a medication affects you and you alone.
Keeping you safe, healthy and on the road.
