I do not have the number you are askinfg for but I had the same answer from Nurse Red when I asked about Vicidan when I had my Kidney Stone problem about a year ago. The 2 drugs are a Big No NO when driving. Nurse Red gave you the correct answer.

Answer
Under the drug testing regs in 49 CFR Part 40.85 They are listed by the DOT as categories such as:
THC, PCP, Cocaine, Amphetamines/Methamphetamines and Opiates.
Vicodin falls under the opiates category. Kind of like saying the transmission is part of the drive train, get it?
Vicodin will not be listed there specifically by it's name. Nor will any other medications or drugs.
If you test positive and the MRO determines that you have a legal prescription, you and the MRO will work together to get the prescribing physician to prescibe some other medication that suits the purpose and is not restrictivew. If this is not possible, you mya be DQ'd from driving while on it under the Medical Certification Regs.
This is a new amendment to the "NEW RULES" that became effective Aug. 1, 2001. The citation is 40.135 CFR.
