About 7 years ago my wife lost 300 pounds in one day. She went into Divorce Court and then threw me out!
I pray that you will stay with it. Don't let yourself get fooled into thinking that you are alright until you reach the CORRECT weight.
When I resigned from the US Government (1968) I weighed 289, and had a 36 inch waist. Today I weigh 290, BUT a 46 inch waist. This last year it has become very hard to truck this big butt around. My blood pressure, 145\85, colestorel, 120, heart rate getting a little high, 75, age 68.
At 10 I was 6 ft tall and weighed 200 pounds. So you see when you look at yourself for a life time and are a BIG man,(and proud of it) it is tough to have a mind change.
No matter how you feel, you must have a mind change. You will have to really hate the fat! You will have to love exercise, small portions on a plate, and endure the pain that will be associated with the weight loss.
Get this picture in your mind. How many thin people do you see in wheel chairs, and electrict scooters? How many thin people do you see with feet and ankles over sized and out of proportion?
How many 400 plus pound men do you see over 60?
You need a mentor, or a group of mentors. Food is a worse addiction than booze or drugs. Food is always avaliable.
Good luck my friend. Keep the faith.
HAPPY MOTORING AND I WILL...SEE YOU AT THE TOP. russell
I will buy coffee at the TA or Petro

"I pray that you will stay with it. Don't let yourself get fooled into thinking that you are alright until you reach the CORRECT weight."
This is a huge surgery it is completely unreversable.
no matter what i eat i can only get very sick or cause bad ulsers , but i am very educated with what i have done and did 6 months of research before i even considered having this surgery.
i was 438 pounds on 3 shots of insulin every day and had to stop driving.
im 39 years old 5'11 and have always been active but some times things happen and i dont ask why i just try to correct them.
im feeling great and im walking every day over 1/3 a mile and doing things i have not been able to do in years and i love the new me.
i will be able to go back to work around late november and im very happy about that.
there are alot of people who laugh and snikker at big people and odd or freaky looking people but thats a problem they have and thats just sad that its like that but i dont judge any one and i dont want to be judged.
i was at the point in my life where i had to make a life saving change before i had a leg amputated or go blind and i made that change and im not stopping here.
