Question
Hello Nurse Red;
I recently lost the services of my hometown doctor and will be going out with a trainer soon.
My problem is i will need refills for my diabetes meds and blood pressure meds.
I can't afford a new doctor at this time so i was hoping there might be alternative's to getting refills on the road?
Thanks "Bullmoose"

Answer
for most drivers on medications.
May I suggest that BEFORE you leave, you obtain a new physician and transfer you medical records NOW!
Have that physician write prescriptions that you can carry with you, adding as many refills to the prescription as he can safely do.
Try to use a pharmacy in a national chain such as Walmart, or CVS. That way their computer records will have your info on file.
Doctors will not just blindly refill meds without some sort of records on the patient to base their precriptions on.
Please take care of this BEFORE you leave on the road.
Keeping you safe, healthy and on the road.
