OK, think I got it!

Question
Nurse Red,
I know better. I really do. I had back surgery in Jan. and I am almost ready to be released to go back to work. I am really not sure where the methamphedamine came from... The capsul I took looked like an 'over the fuel desk' yellow jacket. But I did not buy it in a package, it was given to me.
The pain pill was one of my husbands.
I got home from our dedicated run on Monday Dec 11, not having to go back out untill Thurs Dec 14.
I took a pain pill Tues am.
I was called for a random on Tues. Dec 12 (pm), and went to take it Wed Dec. 13 and then picked our load up Thurs (the 14th) at 7:30 pm.
I have read alot about Methamphedamine and it sounds like it 'stays in the system' for a long time.
The company said it would look good if I did go to a rehab, but they didnot offer any SAP. IM the one who brought up rehab in desparation to keep my job.
At the time, I am painfree, and I am on NO medications. I could take a random (and pass) at anytime. The company is acting like their hands are tied..
I will go there today and talk with the safty man about a SAP. I pray he will at least give me that, so I can document all this for ANY job I will have in the furture.
Ill let you know what happens next
go for it

Answer
but I am learning!
Ill do better next time!
go for it

Answer
By LAW-read Federal Mandate- the employer MUST give you references to SAP's for eval. and follow-up, whether they retain you or not. Have they officially terminated you? If so, ask about rehire, if they are unwilling then you must move on and explain the situation to your next potential employer. If they have not officially terminated you, why not?
Keeping you safe, healthy and on the road.
