Answer
Zyban is another name for wellbutrin. Wellbutrin is an anti-depressant. If your doctor wants to subscribe you Zyban ask him about subscribing wellbutrin instead, should cost you a lot less, insurance covers wellbutrin and not the cost of Zyban. Anyway that is what I have learned from my doctor. I used it in a quit-smoking program and did very well untill I stopped taking the wellbutrin. I quit smoking for 5 weeks and thought I was cured. So I quit the wellbutrin and then my brother came for a visit. First it was just one smoke with him and then another and then you know the rest of the story. I think if I stayed on the wellbutrin I could have resisted that first one better than I did! You also have to prepare a mind set for quiting, the pill does not do it all. My doctor had me follow the Zyban plan, you start taking the pill a few weeks before your planned quit date. I think if you prepare yourself pychologically well ahead of your quit date it makes a big difference. Plan on taking the pill probably atleast six months to a year. As far as side effects go I did not experience any, I have been on paxal( anti-depressant)before and did have some dizzyness. But what ever you decide to do make sure you follow doctors orders to a Tee, because that kind of medication is not to be messed with! Hope that helped! Aero

Answer
i tried the zyban when it first came out and it made my head feel funny and i quit taking it,what i found that worked for me is the inhaler,i quit for almost two years, but unfortuanatly my wife had to have open heart surgery and i got so nervous that i started back up again, i do plan to quit again but when i don't know.talk to your dr,the zyban may work for and it may not, good luck on quitting,do yourself a favor though, watch what and how much you eat though, when you quit smoking your body will go through changes and you will crave food like you are starving to death,i ganed 70lbs in 6 months, don't mean to scare you, just to warn you a little bit in advance,
