Why do some men seem half-attentive? Turns out men hear what you are saying, but only with half their brain----whereas women listen with their whole brain. When listening to an audiotape, brain scans of 40 men and women showed that in almost all cases men had activity on the left side only----the side that's generally connected with language. On the other hand, women had activity in both sides of the brain. This could mean that women are better listeners....or that men hear more efficiently. Findings presented at the November 28, 2000 meeting of the Radiological Society of North America.

Heck yeah, I've heard of this. Been knowing it for years. Didn't know it would actually show up on these fancy scans they can do. I always thought they did it on purpose, like they practiced this art or something. Seems that the studies actually show that the poor guys just can't help it! LOL
