Answer
Make sure that you have been taking your medication regularly as directed. Get plenty of sleep the night before. Avoid caffeine and sodium for 24 hours prior to the exam. If you are ill, wait. Stop at the local pharmacy or grocery store that has one of the automatic Blood Pressure machines on your way to the Dr. Check it out and see where you stand.
If you have a high reading at the Drs. Office. Ask them to repeat the test after the rest of the exam has been completed to see if it is comeing down. Some people have "White Coat Syndrome" when at the Drs. office. Once the exam is out of the way, your blood pressure may decline.
Hoping you make the grade.
Keeping you safe, healthy and on the road.
