Hemospermia???

Question
I have been diagnosed with hemospermia. It seems to come and go. I have no other symptoms. I have also been told that I have nothing to worry about, however my wife and I find the symptoms of this to be disturbing and upsetting. Any info you can provide would be appreciated. Thank you.

Shadowdancer,
Sorry for the delay in answering, but both the Doc and I are stumped on this one. We have no clue other than to know what the medical terminology means.
You indicate that you were diagnosed with this condition. I would hope that the diagnosing physician can provide you with any information you may need.

Answer
Your diagnosis is blood in the semen (I'm sure you already know this ) It is usually self limiting. Some urologists suggest an ultrasound of the prostate just to cover all bases.
If this condition continues your doctor may want to do more extensive lab tests to rule out adrenal insufficiency, Addisons disease. For the time being, just kick back and relax. It could be as simple as having your belt/seatbelt too tight.
