Okay,first let me say I am a really big chicken and I haven't been to a doctor in over twelve years.
I have these bumps or lumps,two to be precise on my head.I'm not sure what you call them.I think they might be hereditary because my mom also had them and had to have them removed.Well I made the mistake of telling my mom that one of the bumps has gotten alot bigger.I notice when I wash my hair,it's not like I have these two mutant lumps sticking out of my head.Now my mom is totally ragging on me that I need to have them removed.
Did I mention I am a big chicken and haven't been to the doctor in twelve years?Do you know what they are and what they do to remove them?

Just kidding, hon. What you are describing sounds like what is commonly called kernels (no this doesn't mean you are corney). The most common place for them is at the back of the head at the bottom of the hairline though.
The fact that one is getting bigger does cause me to strongly back your Mom up on this one. Go get them checked out. There is a possibility something else may be going on.
If they do remove them, they will numb the area, you won't feel a thing other than the injection for the numbing agent. It may be done right in the Drs. office or you may have to go to an In and Out surgical facility. But you will be home the same day. Don't be such a chicken, kiddo.
Get it checked out and get it taken care of before it becomes more than you REALLY want to deal with.

Gross that just sounds icky enough to have it checked out.I kinda just wanted you to tell me to have it checked,that extra little kick in the pants if you will.It's been making me a little nervous since I noticed that one getting bigger.I am going to try and weasel my way in early next month.I really appreciate your taking the time Nurse Red.
