- i can get it to work on dreamweaver, but not in the preview browser.
?

Answer
Your tag has the URL listed as "MISC/pictures/fire/fire.swf"
Don't you need it to be "http://imosh.com/MISC/pictures/fire/fire.swf"?
edited to add: It is a cool logo.

Answer
thanks earl, you rule!

Answer
i thought that would fix it, but it didn't.

Answer
Sorry Imosh, this is why I mainly read in this forum instead of posting.
I admit I'm a bit out of my realm here.
Hopefully Jayne or someone else that is more knowledgeable in this area will be along to help.
The Macromedia website has tutorials that might help too.

Answer
How big is your file?
The page is definitely downloading something, but after 15 minutes I gave up.

Answer
The page is definitely downloading something, but after 15 minutes I gave up. Yeah, I see a white box while the page loads (only takes about 15 seconds for me though, on cable) and then its a big blank black page with your normal navigation stuff top & bottom - if I right-click in the blank space, I DO get the Macromedia Flash menu but it wont play or 'do' anything ... Sorry! Just letting you know what I'm getting, don't know how to help you fix it ...

Answer
its only 43k
here it is:
http://www.imosh.com/MISC/pictures/fire/fire.swf
-- just the file, not an actual page.

Answer
The file loads your name but then fades it out leaving a black box.
I would leave the name on the page or put something there that remains behind when the flash is done playing.
perhaps a click to enter text with Imosh.com on there somewhere.
I get the same thing that GEM is getting when I click on your initial link to your website.
I would say that if the swf file is working on the web then it is your insertion code that is causing the problem on your site.
I don't know anything about inserting swf codes...

Answer
I don't know anything about inserting swf codes... - i find that hard to believe.
i use dreamweaver, its made by macromedia, its all set up for flash insertion, so you would think it would work. strange.
anyway, i wanted to use the flash as an intro, but i wanted a short flash- nothing constant. just alittle glitz and done. after i figure out how to just get it work, i was going to work on having it flash then go to a static logo.
