ebay store design - html question

Question
can you do an ebay store front that doesn't include the "navigation" bar down the left side of the page?
also - does anyone know the pixel size of that navigation bar? I need to know what the optimal minimum width would be for store content.
Thanks a bunch!!!

Answer
Yes, you can, well, at least you COULD last I checked ... the store owner will need to select the proper format (I think theres a specific check box to include or not eBays nav-bar)

I'm not 100% sure on the pixel width (I think it might be 160)
but go see Mimi's stores, I'm pretty sure I kept the table width at 100% and she chose to keep the navigation bar alongside. It has side-scroll but not much.

Dunno if that helps, but there you go.

Answer
ahhhh yes yes yes that helps greatly!
I just don't want folks to have to scroll over to the right if I put too much content width wize and yet I don't want the format to have that "vacant" feel for folks who are on the higher resoloution settings.
ohhh and btw... I know I have said this before but I will say it again - I love Mimi's Store front - you did a great job on that!

Answer
(thanks!)
You can see I have ALOT of white space in mine too, and the category images are a bit on the large size. SO paring down any of that will probably make a difference for you ...

I looked again at the store I'm working on (JUST! the store logo, not the whole storefront nuh-uh, fergetttit!) and I can find the nav-bar width (it IS 160) but the rest they seem to have set at percents, so it was pretty hard to get a line on the total. My eyes went all wAcKa-DoO looking at that codewad.

y'know? I always forget to come down here when I get super-busy, only reason I even saw this was I was in here looking for your link to dasexyfonts (for abovementioned store logo)

so, Thank YOU!

Answer
ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh sounds like a FUN logo.
I don't see much white space on the design you did for Mimi.
(I only see white space as :bad: when the space is out of place or not planned)
not sure if that makes sense or not but you know what I mean.
RIGHT?
