i'm think of doing some quick flashing text (html) or macromedia flash.
i have flash 5, but it will take me awhile to figure it out.
anyone know of a place that does simple flash animations?

i think your site would look better without flash. Most visitors dont like flash or can even support flash.

This section of dynamicdrive.com has a list of text animation javascripts that you can use on your website.
CoolText has some nice text effects, not animated, that you can make. Just click the "Render a logo" link in the bottom left corner to see what they have.
