Question
I tried logging into my account tonight. It said my password was invalid!! I tried on another computer - same error - saying password was invalid. It was NOT invalid - it's the same password I've used several times a day for YEARS! So I clicked on the "forgot my password" link wondering if Paypal changed my email address on me. I changed it, and now when I try to log in it says my account is inactive! I use this account EVERY DAY! Now I can't access it and all my auctions end tomorrow! I called my Paypal rep but I get a message saying they aren't open until tomorrow. HELP!?!?!!

Answer
Being that it's the end of the month and PP has a lot of bills to pay, you have been selected as a contributor to their Jan.2004 income revenues. Your money is now their money.
Seriously, many years ago (When I still used PP) I had a similar problem. I called PP, they asked me 1,000 questions to verify that it was my account and then they had to reset my password. This one can be blamed on Bill Gates' Windoze (I bet he's not a PP member).
Answer
It sounds like PayPal has "frozen" your account.
This can happen if someone else has gained access to your account (ie: thru an answer to a 'spoof' email) or if the credit card you have linked to PayPal has reported a questionable transaction or has frozen your credit card account.
