Question
I just came across this website as I was browsing for a product I was interested in buying. They offer credit card processing through http://www.2checkout.com. I tried to find out some tangible information about them, but apparently there is none other than the domain is registered to 2Checkout.com Inc. 1785 O'Brien Rd. Columbus, OH 43228.
On the About Us page they give little or no information about themselves.
I'm curious how a company like this can provide the service they claim to be providing. Here in Canada you probably couldn't set up anything like this. How would someone know if this was a credit card number harvesting business, a legitimate business, or who knows what! I really have no idea how to properly research a company like this so any information would be greatly appreciated. I certainly have no intention of using the service, thought I did want to purchase what the vendor was offering and this was the only payment option available. (I have since found a similar product elsewhere, but I am curious about this website as I have not heard anything about it previous to stumbling across it earlier today.)

I was using a small ISP and they use 2checkout.com for me to pay for their monthly fees. 2checkout keeps a small fee from the seller as payment for their services.
The link was on the payment page of my ISP, so I know it was real. Switched to a different ISP after 3 mo. because of speed problems.
