Do you monitor your website traffic?

Question
Do you monitor your website traffic? If so, How?

Do you use stats software? If you do, do you actually pay attention to it? Do you review the number of visitors you get? etc..

Just curious what others do with this..

-Jim

Answer
I don't have one published yet...someday.
But I thought it would be interesting to know how many of the hits on the OCM auctions are from off site. (is that how to say it? Off site? Non here'rs)

Answer
You betcha I do, on both of my websites. By evaluating how many hits a page and/or item gets I can determine which items are popular (and which are not), whether prices are too low and could be raised, or too high and should be lowered, or seem just right, what to put on sale, and what to not, what keywords they used to get there (and sometimes I get additional ideas for key words that way!) and on and on.
I used statcounter dot com (it's great, easy and free) and google analytics on one site, the newbie site I just have a basic counter on for now but will change it soon to use the same.

Answer
Mostly unique users, page views/user and referring domains. I use G's analytics which isn't entirely accurate... it DOES use Jscript which must be loaded on every page, but it's free and quite seamless to the user.
This reminds me... I've a few new pages that I need to load the script on! ((((Thanks, Jim for reminding me of more WORK! ))))

Answer
We use the X-cart built in stats for now.
Better than nothing.

Answer
My webhost provides very detailed webstats.
I also receive a weekly report from searches performed ON my site.
I pay MORE attention to the second, than to the first.

Answer
I'm using Google Analytics for most of my site analyzing.
X-cart has a "free" version of sales-n-stats add-on that also gives you a online chat integration, the stats are not bad for general purposes such as referrer, page in, page out, searches, and times visited. Not bad at all for a freebie!
I sometimes also find myself using awstats, which is provided free by my host.
Now with all of that data you would think I could somehow improve my conversion rates!

Answer
my web site has a counter, & I can see how many visited, came back ect. Also which days are busiest. A few other things, can't remember them know. I do check the stats, but not daily or weekly, just when I remember to do it

Answer
My website host also provides detailed stats.
Yes I do pay attention to them as they say a lot...I also like to compare this year's stats to last year...

Answer
Yes to the overall site's visits but no details as to what is drawing the lookers into my den
It appears to be the busiest on weekends when I'm at live events and most people have a little extra time to browse the Internet
