Favicons

Question
I finally have a contribution
I was able to make a favicon and put it up on our site. I researched and read and it seemed to elude me. Then I found the following site (I have NO affiliation with this site whatsoever - I found it during my research):
http://www.chami.com/html-kit/services/favicon/
I had already made the image I wanted to use and it was simple to get it uploaded.
Hope this helps someone!
ACK!! I just realized it works in Firefox, but didn't work in IE. I have no idea why and don't have time to look into it right now. If I find out what I did, I'll post about it. If someone else knows, I'm all ears

Answer
IE 6 and it works fine here!
I do believe that FF and IE have different behaviors regarding favicon.ico .

Answer
Insert this code in the HEAD section of your web pages... (at least your home page or other page that someone is likely to bookmark.)
HTML Code: <link rel="shortcut icon" href="/favicon.ico" /> Your favicon may not appear immediately and in IE it will sometimes disappear from time to time due to a browser bug. IE is buggy with favicons.

Answer
I do have that in my head tag and it shows up fine on Firefox. It's so cool to see my little logo
I wonder if I have setting in IE that prohibits it from showing. I'm not going to worry about it right now. I rarely use IE these days.
Thanks!

Answer
There's also a free Photoshop plug-in that does a professional job of making a compliant favicon that works in all browsers.
