Setting up my first website for sales

Question
I am about to design a website for selling. I have been told Dreamweaver is a top choice, so I have that. Now I need a good template that will let me put in the site searchable databases.
I will be selling music on CDs and LPs, and a few tapes. I Also might offer books and magazines. So I want the format to be searchable, and also by artist.
Like the All Music Guide and Amazon is, I want to offer samples of the music on MP3, and adding short video clips is an option in the fututre I wish to leave open. So I would have a ton of data entry, but it could be fun too.
Can anyone suggest an easy way to get the navigation in a template, and then I can just add the content, pictures/text?

Answer
Hi & welcome to here!
We've just been discussing different ways to create a web-based store-front. So there is some product discussion on what software is available. You might want to check this thread out:
It is in the "Fixed Price Marketplaces Forum".
I don't recall anyone talking about Dreamweaver... but with needing/wanting to share audio, etc, your requirements may be different than other storefronts.

You might want to consider X-cart store management system.
It's already set up for selling electronically distributed goods like movies, software, music, e-books etc, is very user-friendly, and ready to use right from the box.
Here's a thread with some discussion on X-cart:
