Question
Greetings All:
I should know the answer to this but don't.
Say I own the domain name www.something.com -- but I don't;
now I want to publish pages under fashion.something.com
what is this called and where do you set it up.
Thought I knew the answer and tried a couple of things but none of them worked out.
Thanks in advance.
Dee
Answer
subdomain - It's a lower-level component of a domain name.
For example, www.example.com and support.example.com are subdomains of example.com, also known as a "second level domain."
You would create this in your DNS zone file as a new A record for a domain, or as a CNAME record if you just wanted it to go to your main example.com domain.
As to "how" to do it, that would depend on your website host and what tools they give you.
