Help locating domain name

Question
In 2004 I registered 2 or 3 domain names and paid in advance I think 5 years. Only problem is I dont remember the names or who I registered through. Does anyone know of a way to do a "who is" search by registered name instead of by web address?

Answer
They will probably email you when your domains are about to expire, until then I don't know what else you can do.

I know of a link that you can search by 3 different criteria. You can search by website name, "handle", and IP address. If you know what IP address you had at the time maybe that would work?? I dunno much about the technical stuff. LOL.

I can probally try the IP, but I doubt it will work. I've gotten a new router recently so I dont know if that will have changed the IP. Also I would assume it depends on if I used aol while going to the webpages or IE. As far as I know, aol uses a different IP everytime you sign on.

WHOIS SEARCH
Worth a try I guess. If it doesn't work, if you're a packrat like me and some others on here I know then maybe you printed out the receipt at the time and still have it layin' around somewhere...
Good luck, that's about all I can think of...

Answer
Do you remember how you paid? If you could find a record of payment it would at least let you know who you bought them from. With proof of payment you could get the rest of the info.
Also, any chance you saved the confirmation emails on your computer. AOL's filing cabinet will save them forever.

E-Sales, I guess your silence means it didn't work? Or are you busy setting up SAID sites?

Hmmm - a difficult situation.
See if there is anything here that might be of use:

If you can't remember the domain name, I think you are probably out of luck. If you have an idea what it might have been, any whois search should bring up the results.
I use this whois search - it's fast and gets the results I need most of the time:

Otherwise, you might just have to start over with new names. Probably the quickest route to take at this point.

Answer
Supposedly, you can search using owner's name here:
http://openaccess.dialog.com/ip/form...mainNames.html
However, I can't get it to work, as I have over 20 domain names registered. It just stalls and won't produce any results.
Here's a discussion about the same topic:
