Question
I'm tired of ebay's-PayPal http://community.here.com/infopop/em...icon_frown.gif
I'd like to switch to another credit card payment system, and saw the site for CCNow.
One thing I like about CCNow is that you don't have to be a member to pay a seller...you can just pay.

quote:
You can streamline your auction sales with CCNow. Simply send e-mails to winning bidders notifying them that they can pay at CCNow. Unlike other services out there, CCNow is hassle free because auction winners do not have to be a member of CCNow in order to pay you.

CCNow
Does anyone have an account, and do you like them?
If you don't use them, what do you use besides PayPal, and are you pleased with their service?

Jamie,
I just spoke to Mark at PaySystems and they have a great system and excellent service. Mark was really nice with me and explained everything in detail. Check out their website at www.mypaysystems.com and email him at mcormier*paysystems.com.

I have my own merchant account for many years and I had buyers either call my 800 number or email their CC info.
In addition to that, I had just opened an account with www.authorize.net as an on-line payments system. I'm constructing a web page on my existing web site to have my buyers click to and pay by simply filling in the form.
This will be like any other web site CC payment system, but will be linked to my eBay auctions.
It will probably say: "Click here to pay with your credit card now" so when they do click, it will take them to my web site which will pop-up the payment info screen.
I'm using eBay's Selling Assistant Pro, so I'm going to try to figure out how to get the totals of multiple auction winners into one payment.

I found CCNow to be an excellent solution for start-up websites.
Although a bit costly, it's still cheaper than setting up a merchant account, etc.
We later set up our Ebay and website checkouts through Andale to be able to manage all of our business at one place, while accepting direct credit cards, PayPal, checks, etc.
We did invest a bit in incorporating direct credit card processing and a merchant account when our sales volume justified it, but PayPal also offers direct payment with credit cards for non-PayPal members these days anyway.
Andale is a bear to set up on a website, though.
All in all, I would recommend CCNow as a way to get started with the least hassle - Then research other options after you get going.
