Question
Ok I know it is still a ways away but early to mid november is right around the corner.
I have not had this webstore last year and I'm typing fast to get everything ship shape for this holiday season.
how do you online retailers fair during the season?
what do you do diffrently?
One big item we will be rolling out this year is postcards to all of our past customers and friends.
Answer
Hi did you want this is in the website forum?
You might want to ask Jim to move it to general discussion.
I'm not even close to being ready.
In fact I get scroogier every year.
My Dad sent me a cheque and said buy the family what they want.
If I send his cheque back and say if you buy yourself what you want we'll be even. Would that be bad?
I only partially mean it.
Christmas is for kids, and I wish it could be left that way.
I've never had a problem buying for the kids in my family, but the adults are a whole nuther story.
Answer
lol doofy I meant this as a is your website ready for christmas.
I love your idea of sending the check back.
I think with adults the holidays are more about getting together with each other and starting family fights then gifts.
One special thoughtfull gift is a good thing though.
Answer
Ok well to get this back on topic, I haven't done anything with the incredible website Serenity made for me.
I still like having it, it tickles me to think someone as incompetent as me, has a website.
But I'm aiming at being ready for the Christmas 2025 market.
Its a stretch, but with careful planning I think I can make it.
Answer
Every year I say I will be by the end of October.
Well, 2005 is here, October 28 to be exact, and once again, I'm a full 3 months behind.
So in answer to your question, no, I'm not.
Won't be, either.
Winging it again by the seat of my pants.
I need help, but can't afford it.
Catch-22.
Answer
Ditto what Kathleen said...
Ugh!

Hi
I don't have a website for selling. I only sell on ebay...so far.
But I did get some fall colors on my about me page and auctions.
I also what to make a Christmas template for my auctions.
I did make a Christmas web site as my Budding Gurus final but it's
not for selling anything. Just for learning HTML.
I guess it could be turned into an e-store (is that what it's called?)
But heck, what would I sell?
Answer
No, but then I never am... even KNOWING that my sales will spike after Labor Day, it still catches me by surprise when it happens.
Each year I say I'm going to be better prepared - and next year, I'm not *sigh*

Ready for Christmas....NO!!!....Digging out for Thanksgiving...gotta go one holiday at a time....I'd LOVE to just take the family on a trip for Christmas and dispense with the gifts...We need NOTHING!!!!
(I think about this ever year, but still haven't broken down to the point of doing it!)
