Question
Rumor has it Yahoo will start their version of Google Adsense tomorrow. This is where you place ads on your website or blog and get paid if someone clicks on a ad. This will in my opinion be a good thing. Google has been "king of the hill" for a long time. I think competition is good. Should increase the payout to webmasters. Some are intimidated by Google well now's your chance. I will try to get more info tomorrow.

Answer
Aren't the part of Overture's program now? SO they'll have their own?
Answer
I saw brief mention of this on the morning news / biz report,
but they didn't go into any detail ...
Look forward to seeing what you come up with on this one, Mike.

Here's an update. They are still in Beta testing and just opened up 2000 new spots which are likely already taken. Overture is same as Googles Adwords(you pay for clicks). This new program is same as Googles Adsense (you get paid for clicks). They are saying now it will be first of the year before it will open to general public. I still think this will improve the paid advertising market. Competition is a good thing but don't ask Ebay.

I just got a email from Yahoo. This beta test they are running is by invitation only. They said they will be offering invitations slowly till they are finished testing. They said they are hoping to have it available for everyone before the end of the year.
