Question
So I'm re-generating adsense code to include alternate ad info so I can stop getting psa's.
But here's the thing. Now it wont show up.
So I reload the code without the alternate ad info, and google adsense banner STILL won't show.
WTF?
Is there something about this weeks code as apposed to code generated a few months ago?
This happen to anybody else?
Answer
I don't know if this might be part of the problem or not, but there will be new code out tomorrow.. (maybe they are working on it now)
You might want to wait a day until the new code is released anyway..
Here's the detailed info from google...
<BLOCKQUOTE class="ip-ubbcode-quote"><font size="-1">quote:</font><HR>As we mentioned in our last features announcement, Google
AdSense will soon be introducing a new format for public
service ads (PSAs) on your pages. This new format is intended
to distinguish between untargeted PSAs and targeted Google ads.
By differentiating between targeted and untargeted ads, users
will be easily able to identify targeted ads – leading to
higher clickthrough rates, and a steady stream of revenue for
you. The new PSAs will be launched on April 21, 2004.
To view an example of the new PSA format, please visit our
What’s New page at https://www.google.com/adsense/new#psas.
PSAs are served to pages for which targeted ads are
unavailable. If you’d prefer not to show these new public
service ads on your web pages, you may designate your own
alternate ads to be shown in their place. Alternate ads can be
images or HTML pages of your own design, or you can select a
block of solid color to match with your page’s background.
Different alternate ads can be specified for each page of your
site.
To assign an alternate ad to your web page, follow the
instructions below to generate new ad code:
1. Log in to your AdSense account at
https://www.google.com/adsense
2. Click the ‘Settings’ tab
3. From the ‘Ad layout code’ page, select an ad layout and up
to 4 color palettes for targeted ads
4. In the ‘Alternate ad URL or color’ text box, enter a fully
qualified path to your image file, HTML page, or ad server, or
click ‘Choose a color’ to select an HTML color code
5. If desired, select a channel for your page. More information
about channels is available from our FAQ, at
https://www.google.com/adsense/faq#channel
6. Copy and paste the ad code into your site pages
If you have any questions or comments about the new format of
public service ads, or have questions about alternate ads,
please email us at adsense-support*google.com.
Sincerely,
The Google Team

agg, maybe that's it. I'm running into the same problem on dif sites/servers...but it seems to mostly a NS problem.
I'll wait a day or so and get back to it.
One other thing, not only is it invisible in NS, it's scrambling the rest of the page.
