Excellent article, thanks for posting it, Devrock.
(and if I didn't say it before, welcome to here and especially the WM&A forum, I know you'll have alot to share!)

I definitely do number 6 all the time ...
Act on Inspiration. In many cases, a woman will see a movie, see an ad, see an editorial, "and, one of the first things they do is, they're going home and trying to find it on the Web," she says. ... and nothing is more aggravating than getting all excited to check out some new product / website / info you heard/read about elswhere, and have it be really difficult to find.

Good read!

You can say THAT again - we find that, in our business, our online buyers are 5:1 female (despite the fact that antique collectors, sports collectors, etc. are not as one-sided). That's more than the 3:1 the article quotes as industry standard.
And, amongst those asking questions via our contact form, it is closer to 10:1 female! How about those of you with online shops? What's your experience?

Hi Joan,
Welcome to here and the WM&A forum!

For me, probably (rough est.) 75% of my clientele is female and I'd say they account for way more general inquiries/comments than the men too, not just in hiring me for jobs.

It's great topic of discussion, I'd love to see some more comments!
