I have GOT to be missing something......Right?

Question
After countless hours at setting up a storefront through a third party provider I found out it cannot be search engine optimized.
I know, I know, I should have thought of that. But, I did not get to the discussion groups before I did all that. Stupid......stupid......stupid. Am I correct in assuming my only option is the Pay Per Click thing?
As you can see I'm desparately searching for some reason to maintain this store and not rebuild the whole thing.

Answer
What makes you think it can't be SE optimized? Who hosts it? What did you use to build it? In a word...........Andale

Answer
ah.

Answer
Aren't they owned by Ebay?

Answer
Might still work if you can get other related websites to link to you.
Whacha sell?
Oops. Edited to add: one can OVER-optimize one's website.
Just because you've got some errors doesn't mean that you can't 'make the top 10'. Don't believe me? Take any of the top 10 and run them thru a HTML validator. Errors out the wazoo!

Answer
I think the basic problem is you have no control over your meta tags on Andale. As for html errors my sites are full of them but hasn't affected my serps so why bother.

Answer
Yep. No sooner finished building the d**n thing, found here, and there it was. A thread with TR telling someone he closed his store because Andale Stores cannot be optimized. I've been in denial till now.
So......pay per click.......links.........??????
I think I might just do it all again. I've tried the pay per click thing and so far it has definetly been a waste of money. Some success but not nearly enough.
"Sigh" Another one of those "too soon old, too late smart"

Answer
Related links is an excellent way to get noticed.
My site has a PR5 already!
