Question
I'm looking for a web host with a shopping cart that's affordable. Does anyone have any tips, or places to go on the net?
Would I be better off using an online auction store, like ebay's store front?
If so, what auction store site do you like besides ebay?

Answer
Jamie, I just signed up with FatCow ...mine is going to be a personal site, not business, but I notice they have a shopping cart. $99 a year ... there's a shopping cart demo on the site map page.

Answer
I use www.cleverdot.com
Cost me 3.95 per month billed monthly, or if you pay for a year in advance it is 29.99 for the entire year.
They have 2 free shopping carts (Agora) and (Interchange) that you install for free through your c-panel site manager.
I recommend Agora. Agora is a very powerful free open source shopping cart that can be tailored to fit your needs. There are some Agora forums that are very helpful.
If you do sign with cleverdot.com or any other site that offers Agora Don't install the version that they offer which is 4.0. It is a real pain to update with the newer version. The newest version can be downloaded free from The Agora Site
If you want to see the cart in action you can see My Site Here
The cart has a browser based manager for setting up the cart, adding and deleting items, how the items are displayed and the number of items per page.
It is a cool cart but you will have to download and read the manual to get the most out of it.

This comes highly recommended by Tekgems. I was going to use this when I was setting up my website. I got sidetracked with real life stuff and haven't gotten any further on it. I am not sure if it is exactly what you are looking for but the basic cart is FREE!
Answer
Second vote for Mals. I use it on all three sites! EXCELLENT customer service, easy to use, no problems!
