Question
Greetings all!
I thought I'd start a "fun" thread on this subject. Feel free to post all your silly experiences you've had with web-store customers.
Here's my very favorite:
A customer sends a check (or M/O) thorugh the mail with the page of the item printed out... no contact... no shopping cart... nada... Just mails you the money! This has happened several times (three that I can think of off hand) just in the past few months. I find this very peculiar!
Post yours!
Cheers
Answer
I got a money order in the mail with no address on the envelope and the money order wasn't even made out. Not their name and address and not even my name. Blank. Just the dollar amount stamped on how much.
I only had 23 auctions end and had to wait and see who paid and didn't so I could email to try and find the buyer.

Ahhhhh, yes! The 'ol process of elimination game... I've played that, too!

mystery money is ALWAYS fun, LOL!
Answer
Yes, I've had several mystery money MOs too. Some people can figure it out by what the amount is as each item is somewhat dif. But all my items are priced the same, so there is no way for me to figure out what something is for.
I've also had them send the print out of the listing. It has MY name and addy on it but not THEIR'S LOL.
I now have a line in my invoice for them to email me if they are going to send a MO instead of PP so I can watch for it. I get so much junk mail that often I don't look thru most of my mail unless I know I'm expecting something from a buyer.

LOL! I've gotten the mystery money, too. What are they thinking? ;-)
Answer
What are they thinking?
ehhh... that question would imply that they are thinking something... which I'm not so sure of!
OK... Here's another good one...
I get a phone call from a "potential" customer... they are inquiring about something... I can't remember what it was, I think a road map. Anyhow, they give me the items exact title, SKU and price. I inform the customer that I am away from the computer (I was having lunch) and I can call them back in 10 minutes, OR... I suggested that they can go ahead and order it online.
His response? "OH... I can do that?"
The order was already placed and paid for by the time I got back to the shop. This only happened once, but I'm still young!
