Ebay store questions.

Question
Just over a month ago, I opened up a ebay store. I had motivation and plenty of ideas for listing.
Seems real life got in the way, and I had quite a few work hours to keep me more busy than I wanted to be.
This morning I am looking through MYEBAY preferences and come across this
----------------------------------------
third-party authorizations Hide
You have authorized the following third party applications to perform certain actions on eBay on your behalf.
eBay.com - Blackthorne (created Sep-20-05) Revoke this authorization
----------------------------------------
Sept 20 was the day I opened the store, but I sure don't remember authorizing this third party. Maybe a automatic thing that ebay does for you ? And I sure don't know how to find this Blackthorne.
My other question concerns spam emails. I don't wander much on the net, and I clean out the cookies quite often. But it seems this last month, that my spam emails have increased tremendously. Like when I first open the email program in the morning, there used to be like 10 spam emails. Now it's like 40 plus, and they just continue coming all day long after that.
My thought is because I have a ebay store, and ebay did something to cause me more spam emails.
Or am I just paranoid and over reacting here ?
I plan on shutting down the store in the next few days, unless someone here can give me some words of wisdom.

Answer
eBay itself has the answers you need about Blackthorne:

Answer
Meya, thanks.
I went and read the info on ebay.
But still don't understand why ebay wants to make this a 3rd party authorization ?
I don't plan on using the blackthorn program.
Again, another case of ebay opting us into stuff we don't want to be, or even some things we don't even know exists.
Permission was not granted.
