I think eCrater and a number of similar sites are a great alternative or addition to using eBay and the price is right.
But each of these sites have some limitations which should be understood.
While having no fees or low fees is attractive, there is always a substancial time factor in learning a new site, setting up, creating listings and maintaining as well as promoting an additional site.
While some users will find these sites satisfactory many other will be better servered by using a site with higher initial and/or ongoing costs but that offer less restrictions and greater flexibility.
Free is good but often paying for better tools and services makes the longterm effort easier and more profitable.
