mori does the water have to start from a completely filled 10L jar? or is water from another source?

Hmmm...
start by filling out the 5l and 3l jar, and pour both into the 10L.
Then fill the 5L jar, pour that until you fill the 3L. Dump out the 3L, and pour half of what's left in the 5L.
