the priest told us this joke in his homily
When Forest Gump approached the heavenly gates, St. Peter was there to greet him.
"Forest Gump, I know you've had a hard life and done many things but there are three tests you must do to enter Heaven," St. Peter said.
Forest Gump nodded, even though life itself had seem like a pretty hard test.
"The first question is, what two days of the week start with the letter T, the next question is how many seconds are there in a year, and lastly, what is God's first name?"
Forest thought long and hard about this as he sat in front of the pearly gates of heaven, and in a few minutes he came back with th answers.
"Alright Forest, what two days start with the letter T?"St. Peter asked
"Today and Tomorrow," Forest Gump answered
Not exactly the answer St. Peter was looking for, but accepted it as it was sort of true.
"How many seconds are there in a year?" St. Peter asked.
Forest took a few seconds counting his fingers then answered, "Twelve,"
"Twelve? How can there be twelve?" St. Peter asked
"There is Jan 2nd, feb 2nd, march 2nd, april 2nd, may 2nd, june 2nd, july 2nd, august 2nd, sept 2nd, oct 2nd, nov 2nd, and dec 2nd,"
Not the exact answer but was pretty creative and once again it was sort of true.
"Alright, the last question, what is God's first name?"
"Andy,"
"Andy? How did you get Andy,"
"Because in a song, they always sing, 'And he walks with me, And he talks with me, And he..."
