XD I'm glad I started this because it's making me laugh sooo hard right now my stomach hurts. This is very interesting. I have another Chinese one.
My grandfather had a co-worker in China whose last name was Cho.. and he was the assistant manager. (You're going to know Cantonese to get this). His title would be Cho Fu Zhong Jik... or something like that (chinglish is hard).
Basically, for all the people who don't know Chinese.. Cho Fu sounds exactly like "take off pants" therefore.. Cho Fu Zhong Jik means the manager of taking off pants.
If I named my child Kit, it would be Kit Chi.. sounds like that one weird song..
Oh a sister to Sum Ting would be Na Ting ... so basically there's Sum Ting Wong and Na Ting Wong.
There's this joke that my friend's sister would tell, in order to make fun of her sister. It goes like this, my friend's name is Joy, so her sister wants her to marry someone named Champion. Then, when they have a wedding, they can pass out socks as gifts (get it? Joy and Champion are sock brands).
Oh yeah, I also have a friend with the last name Ho.. That kind of spells trouble, seeing that other friends like to nickname her Ho-Town. Meh, she's gotten used to it...
