I need an answer! D:

Question
This was posted on here before and I never could find and answer so yeah im looking for it! ><O Cause it bugs me oh so much. x.x Here it is:
"i was looking through my old text books when i find this neat riddle i figured out long time ago...
and now... the hell i can't even remember how to do it.
riddle
you have 3 jars - one holds 10L, the second 5L and the third 3L. and water
(i also made a diagram for those slow 'i dont understand wth ure talking about' mofos)

your aim is to pour the water from jar to jar so you'll get this water pattern = 8L, 1L, 1L

you do not have any scales or measuring cups, just the jars with their specific capacity.
eg - you pour from the 10L jar into the 5 L jar.... so now your water patter will be :
5L 5L 0L - put the content of the second jar to the third your pattern will be:
5L 2L 3L
...etc etc
if ur thinking 'wth is this for anyway?' well just imagine you are trapped with 3 ugly women on an oonga boonga island, that u have to give one 8L, and the other two 1L each of water and all u have is those 3 jars and water. And you MUST give them the exact amount or else they'll go oonga boonga on u and so will the ugly men."
That's the exact wording. x.x Please help me. ;-;

Answer
uhmmmmmm how bout....
start with all the water in the 1st jar. [10L] [0L] [0L]
pour half the water so it fills up the 2nd jar which can hold 5L. [5L] [5L] [0L]
then take the 2nd jar n pour it into the 3rd jar which can hold 3L. [5L] [2L] [3L]
take the 3rd jar w/ 3L and pour it into 1st jar. [8L] [2L] [0L]
then take the 2nd jar n pour half of the water in that into the 3rd jar [8L] [1L] [1L]
make sense? if not, i give up on this riddle.
