U.S. Postal Service CARRIER PICKUP Rules -

Question
Multiple pickups can be scheduled up to three months in advance.
Carrier pickup is free, regardless of the number of packages you're sending.
Your carrier will pick up your package(s) when your regular mail is delivered.
Packages must be properly sealed and ready for shipment before your carrier arrives.

To schedule a specific time for your future pickup(s), use Pickup On Demand.
Postage must be prepaid and attached to package(s).
Requests or changes must be received by 2:00 a.m. (CST) the day your pickup is scheduled.

Maximum weight per package is 70 pounds

Carrier pick up is the next best thing to sliced bread.
With it and on line postage, I now make one trip to the PO each month. To cash MOs.

I once missed the 2:00 AM CT cut-off time to schedule the pick-up and then drove out of state. When the post office opened the next morning, I telephoned and told the Post Master what happened. He located my request and gave it to my carrier. I was happy!

We don't have carrier pick-up at our little P.O. but the DH is a part time carrier so the days he's working I give him my packages.
