Question
I use USPS Shipping Assistant - love it! However, I've been having trouble viewing some PDF files on other sites, so I upgraded to Adobe 7.0. Bad girl, bad. USPS Shipping Assistant doesn't like it.
So I started using the USPS Online Label page. Worked for about 3 labels, then decided it didn't like Adobe 7.0 either.
I uninstall 7.0 and go back to 5.something (found someone else on the 'Net who said this worked for them). My USPS Shipping Assistant STILL isn't working! AARGH! And yes, I rebooted.
Anyone else Adobe challenged?

Glad I'm still using Acrobat Reader 6 and haven't been tempted to upgrade yet!

Believe it or not, calling the USPS help line actually HELPED! I had to first uninstall 6.0 (which I installed after realizing 7.0 was screwing me up). Then I had to go to http://www.oldversion.com and download the ancient 5.0 and now all works again.
Ugghhh....
Supposedly they are working on bringing their system up-to-date so it will use 7.0.

What happened to you is scary, but the thought that they are going to mess with something worries me too!

Actually it will work with 6.0 but as an ungrade off of 5.0.... now someone tell me why the US Gov. can't get it together without turning this into a political thread?
The lady I spoke with last year gave me the same info. Very nice lady. They're redoing the Shipping Assistant to make it even better and include International tracking via the customs form numbers. Imagine that mess ahead.
One problem as well is that- if you send priority, and the mail person doesn't scan it at the time of delivery, you could be eating that sale. Imagine the person next door getting the package and just keeping it. It's easy to happen.
