Question
I've been having lots of trouble with this. So much, in fact, that I've been using the older Shipping Assistant. Since that's going to be gone by the end of the month, I'm trying to solve the problem. It may be my computer, but I'm not sure. It takes forever to load, then freezes before it will give me any labels.

No problems right now. They just put out a major update within the last few days. If you haven't loaded it might try that.

Anymore comments about the new shipping assistant?
I'm thinking about installing the new one.
I haven't used it for a while (to print labels) just for postage lookup.
I need it to print my non paypal media mail labels. A few weeks ago I tried to print a label from sa and either I didn't do it right or something was wacky.
I filled in all the info, rec'd a d/c number but couldn't find any place to click to print. I'm sure it was a "Patty Error"
I wish USPS would get on the ball and add more than priority and express to their site.

I just saw the link posted by VioletD for non auction paypals labels. I'm going to check that out too.

It's different than the old version, but overall I think it's better. Especially since it doesn't depend on Acrobat Reader! And you can print all your labels at once, rather than one at a time.
I do like the postage estimation thing better - both at the separate tab and the one available while you are making the label itself...

I don't like this version much. I actually liked the Acrobat version better. Resizing of the sceen sucks.

I like it better too, BUT...
It is trying to udate itself, and then when it tries, I get an error message and it closes:
The following error was encountered while activating the application:
Key not valid for use in specified state. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8009000B)

The wait time is looong.
The guy told me to uninstall my 3.0 & download the latest one - with the update - - from the website, he thinks that might fix it...
The old 2.2 version will be toatlly discontinued tomorrow. You won't be able to use it at all.

the new assistant take so much more time, we we're able to blow through
lables on the old one, if we're lucky it will take twice as long to print a lable with this new piece of sht.
--- the only positive thing about it for now is its easier to do foreign
shipments.
